Chewy Greenwing Macaw
Chewy had his beak broken off, but thanks to the great work of the vet it was saved and there is only a small part missing.
His beak is trimmed by the vet as part of it does not grow properly and so it can become lop sided.
He is also plucked and attempts to pluck the feathers of Barnie his best friend.

Casher Blue & Gold Macaw
Casher is very special. She is 3yrs old and came to me at 10 weeks. Her breeder raised her from the egg and at a few weeks old had her living in a hamster cage, unable to stand or move, with a baby African Grey living on her back.
She is badly deformed, her skull is twisted, making her beak cross and eating difficult, she is still hand fed every night. Her back is bent and when X-rayed by the vet it was found that she has no hip socket on the right side, and her back would continue to bend. Her right wing hangs down and her right leg does not respond when she is trying to do somethiing. Throughout all of this she has remained one of the kindest birds I have ever met.

More photo's of Casher.

In this photo you can see her spinal and leg deformity. Despite all this she is a very happy and loving little lady.

Please remember to give the name of the bird you are wishing to sponsor.
Thank you for caring.
